About Computer Science and Engineering

The course in computer science and Engineering consists of software and hardware of computers and latest technologies like grid computing, cloud computing, web technologies, networking and programming languages. Soft skill training is integral part of the curriculum.

While implementing the curriculum emphasis is on nurturing the talent of students so as to prepare them for working with top industries across the globe, for pursuing higher studies and research at national and international level. The progress of the students is continuously monitored. Typically continuous assessment of the performance is judged through class tests, orals and practicals. Attendance is monitored on a day to day basis and monthly reports are sent to parents. Students are encouraged to present papers, attend workshops and participate in technical contests arranged at state and national level. Students are also motivated to participate in the extracurricular activities such as sports, drama, dance and technical events. Many of our students have bagged the prizes in different competitions.

Opportunities in the Computer Science and Engineering Department

The institute provides exposure to students, not only for the regular Engineering curriculum but also to the aspirations of today's corporate world, by inculcating a professional attitude among them. Project is an important aspect of the curriculum. This helps in understanding and exploring the ideas of students in their areas of interest. Different training programs and expert lectures are organized for students in every semester.

Association of Computer science & Engineering Students (ACES) is the core council students’ body. The aim of ACES is to provide platform to students to share their views and exchange ideas through various events and workshops. The whole purpose is to improve the qualities among students like team work, event management, and organizational skills.
