About Computer Science and Engineering Department
The curriculum in computer engineering lays greater emphasis on design principles and development of system software for operating systems, Database systems, computer graphics and networks, in addition to design & development of software packages which are the need of today. In addition, the course contains computer engineering, communication engineering and electronic science which are of worthy importance in today's world. Fragmentation in computer technology like Embedded Systems, Multimedia Techniques, Internet Security, image Processing & Data Processing, going to affect the computer knowledge in the coming decades. Industrial Training is an integral part of the curriculum.
While implementing the curriculum we also emphasis on nurturing the talent of students so as to prepare them for working with top industries across the globe, for pursuing higher studies and research at national and international level.
HOD’s Message
The department gives exposure to Students, not only for the regular Engineering curriculum but also to the aspirations of today's corporate world, by inculcating a professional attitude among them. Our labs, prepared with latest Hardware & software facilities give our students a cutting edge in technical exploration and enhance their information search and analysis skills. Project which form an important part of the curriculum, not only gives them a chance to understand and explore their area of interest, but it will be an important aspect in their contribution to the company they would join after the degree. Students are encouraged to join various technical and non-technical forums, which in turn gives them parallel exposure to Engineering concepts and technology.
I am confident that the students of the present batch would justify the credibility of the department by showing a high level of professional competence in their respective job areas.
